– Friday Evening –

The Association of the Century 2023 reunion kicks off on Friday evening with a western themed “Roundup” party and cookout. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best western attire (boots, hats, chaps, belts, shirts, and wardrobe accessories.) as part of the “Roundup” festivities. Do not get this confused with a “Grazing Herd.”

SGM Belcher has been volunteered to serve as the official “Trail Boss” for our event and serving as the sole judge for the best dressed cowboy/cowgirl. Rumor has it that he will be awarding prizes to wranglers who impress him the most.

– Saturday –

Morning Business Meeting

Breakfast in the Hotel Atrium will immediately be followed by our annual business meeting. During the business meeting AOC members will receive highlights regarding this year’s AOC accomplishments and have an opportunity to meet and interact with board members. 2023 scholarship winners and inductees into the Corridor of the Century will be announced and recognized. Members will also vote on continued terms of Board members.

All Day Saturday

Supply Room

The AOC Supply Room is the place to be to stock up on all your 100th Division apparel and gear. We have three new and exciting products to introduce to you this year… And new this year: Be sure to ask to see items from our new “Bivouac Collection.” The Supply Room will be open from 0900-1500 on Saturday.

Raffle Items

Our raffle tables are running over with items for your inspection. As in the past, raffle tickets will be available for purchase to drop into the drum next to each item. Winning raffle tickets will drawn and winners will be announced at the Saturday evening banquet. Our purveyors of raffle items have once again exceeded expectations.

New this year will be the introduction of a Silent Auction. Several genuinely nice items will be available for your bidding. Items will be on display from 0900-1500 Saturday. Saturday Afternoon

Aviation Heritage Park Tour and Lunch (Ticketed Event: 1115-1345 hrs)

Following the Business meeting, members have a fun-filled early afternoon ahead of them. For those who purchased advance tickets to the Aviation Heritage Park, coaches will depart the hotel at approximately 11:15 and transport members to the Aviation Heritage Air Park. Here we will have the opportunity to see vintage aircraft and tour the Heritage Museum. Following the Air Park, we will return to the Hotel for a Mission BBQ lunch. (See details elsewhere in this newsletter about the Aviation Heritage Park and registering for the Tour and Lunch.)

Mint Gaming Hall (1100-Open hrs)

The Mint Gaming Hall was a popular attraction last year and it will again be an option for AOC members who wish to try their luck at Las Vega style gaming. The Mint Hall has an excellent restaurant and bar to relax and enjoy your afternoon. They offer live horse race wagering and gaming machines for your enjoyment. All of this awaits you in a smoke-free environment. The hotel will offer shuttle service to and from the Mint. Should you want to drive to the Mint it is only 4 minutes from the hotel and adjacent to Greenwood Mall. Look for a strip map in your welcome packet. Just like a night in Las Vegas.

Surprise Blitz Event (1300-1500 hrs)

This year we have a special surprise in store for everyone. This event, which we have called “Surprise Blitz” will take place in Salon B of the hotel, beginning at 1300. While the details of this event are “TOP SECRET,” there will be an opportunity for all attending to evaluate their luck and take-home prizes. It is sure to be an action-packed, fun-filled afternoon. We are not at liberty to publish the exact details in the newsletter, but when you arrive at the Reunion, complete information will be in your Welcome Packet. Just be sure to keep your Saturday afternoon (1300-1500) schedule open for something you have never experienced at an AOC Reunion. It promises to be an exciting time where you can win cash and have fun too. Don’t miss this one.

Saturday Evening Events

Social Hour (1730-1800 hrs)

Join your friends for a pre-dinner social hour in the Convention Center Ballroom.

Saturday Evening Dinner Banquet (1800-1930 hrs)

Our Saturday afternoon events lead us to what will be a fun-filled and entertaining evening. We will be offering a plated dinner with three different options. (Select your dinner options when you complete your Reunion registration.) Following dinner, we will again feature some outstanding performers. BMI Nashville will again sponsor our after-dinner entertainment. Saturday evening will conclude with our “World Famous Raffle for Prizes” and announcement of our Silent Auction winners.

Tell your friends and encourage them to join us! Better yet, bring them along! Ask someone who has never attended. We’ve planned a great weekend for you and your spouse/guest. From our Friday evening “Roundup” to our Saturday evening Banquet it promises to be a great weekend.
Hope to see you there.
